The 50L rotary evaporator uses a vacuum pump to keep the evaporation flask in a negative pressure state and is controlled by an electronic motor, so that the flask rotates at a constant speed at a suitable speed to increase the evaporation area. For machines of the same specification, the main factors affecting the efficiency of the 50L rotary evaporator are: steam temperature, vacuum degree and cooling water temperature. Restricted by the heat resistance of certain materials, it is impossible to increase the steam temperature infinitely during work, so high vacuum and low cooling water temperature are the two main factors to improve efficiency.
Working principle of 50L rotary evaporator:
Through electronic control, the flask rotates at a constant speed at the most suitable speed to increase the evaporation area. The evaporating flask is kept under negative pressure by a vacuum pump. The evaporating flask was rotated and placed in a water bath for constant temperature heating. The solution in the flask was heated, diffused and evaporated in a rotary flask under negative pressure. The 50L rotary evaporator system can be sealed and decompressed to 400~600mmHg; at a temperature close to the boiling point of the solvent, use a heating bath to heat the solvent in the distillation flask; at the same time, it can also rotate at a speed of 50-160rpm to make the solvent form a film and increase evaporation area. In addition, under the action of the high-efficiency cooler, the hot steam can be liquefied quickly and the evaporation speed is accelerated.
50L rotary evaporator structure:
The distillation flask is an eggplant-shaped or round-bottomed flask with a standard ground joint. It is connected to the decompression pump through a high-level reflux serpentine condenser tube. The other opening of the reflux condenser tube is connected to a receiving flask with a ground joint for Receive the evaporated organic solvent.
There is a three-way piston between the condenser tube and the decompression pump. When the system is connected to the atmosphere, the distillation flask and the liquid-contacting flask can be removed to transfer the solvent. When the system is connected to the decompression pump, the system should be at a reduced temperature. pressure state.
When using the 50L rotary evaporator, depressurize first, and then start the motor to rotate the distillation flask. When the end is over, stop the machine first, and then open the atmosphere to prevent the distillation flask from falling off during rotation. As a heat source for distillation, it is often equipped with a corresponding constant temperature water tank.
How to use the 50L rotary evaporator:
1. Turn on the low temperature coolant circulation pump. Pay attention to press the power button and then press the cooling button, and the cycle will start after the required temperature is lowered.
2. Turn on the water pump to circulate the water.
3. Fit the distillation flask and secure it with clamps. Turn on the vacuum pump and start to rotate after a certain vacuum.
4. Adjust the height and rotation speed of the distillation flask, and set the appropriate water bath temperature.
5. After steaming, stop the rotation first, then open the atmosphere, then stop the water pump, and finally remove the distillation flask.
6 Stop the low-temperature coolant circulation pump, stop the water bath heating, turn off the circulating water of the water pump, pour out the solvent in the receiving bottle, wash the buffer ball, and receive the bottle.

How to maintain the 50L rotary evaporator:
1. Check the instrument carefully before use, whether the glass bottle is damaged, whether the interfaces are consistent, and handle with care.
2. Wipe each interface with a soft cloth, and then apply a little vacuum grease. Vacuum grease must be covered after use to prevent lime sand from entering.
3. The connectors should not be screwed too tightly, but should be loosened regularly to avoid the connectors being seized by long-term locking.
4. Turn on the power switch first, and then let the machine run from slow to fast. When stopping, make the machine stop, and then turn off the switch.
5. Do not over-tighten the switches at various places, otherwise the glass may be easily damaged.
6. After each use, you must use a soft cloth to wipe off all kinds of oil stains, stains, and solvent residues left on the surface of the machine, and keep it clean.
7. Loosen each switch after stopping the machine, because the piston will be deformed if it is still in the working state for a long time.
8. Clean the sealing ring regularly. The method is: take off the sealing ring, check whether there is dirt on the shaft, wipe it off with a soft cloth, then apply a little vacuum grease, and reinstall it to keep the shaft and the sealing ring smooth.
9. The electrical part must not enter the water, and it is strictly forbidden to be damp.
