The two stage rotary vane vacuum pump is one of the main types of low and medium vacuum pumps. It can be divided into oil-sealed pumps and dry pumps. According to the required vacuum degree, single-stage pumps and double-stage pumps can be used, among which the application of two stage pumps is more common.

Mainly used in electronics, refrigeration, electric light source, chemical industry, hospital, bottle liner, packaging, dehydration, drying and other industries. (However, it cannot be used to pump out explosive, corrosive to metal, chemically reactive to vacuum oil, and gas with particles and dust, nor can it be used as a delivery pump and compression pump).

Precautions when using the two stage rotary vane vacuum pump:

The two stage rotary vane vacuum pump is not suitable for pumping out the gas with high oxygen content, explosive, corrosive and dusty. If it must work in such an occasion, corresponding measures such as explosion-proof, anti-corrosion, and dust-proof should be taken.

Turn on the cooling water and start intermittently (but not too many times, otherwise the motor will be burned out), so that the two stage rotary vane vacuum pump rotates slowly, and it will start to run after the oil in the pump chamber is drained.

When extracting condensable gas, the gas ballast valve should be opened to avoid steam condensation and affect the performance of the pump. After the condensable gas has been removed, the gas ballast valve should be closed in time.

During the operation of the two stage rotary vane vacuum pump, you should always pay attention to the sound. Depending on whether the motor load is correct, there is only a slight sound of the valve opening and closing under normal conditions.

Before shutting down, the valve on the suction port of the pump must be closed to disconnect the pump from the vacuum system, then stop the machine and stop the cooling water.

When the water-cooled pump is not working, if the air temperature is less than 5°C, the cooling water in the pump body must be released to avoid freezing and cracking.
